PURPOSE AND MAIN TASKS

MiG-29K ship-borne and MiG-29KUB shipboard combat-trainer multi-task aircraft are designed for performance of air-defense tasks of ship-based units, day-and-night hitting the air-borne targets under adverse and favorable weather conditions, for attacking the surface (fround) targets. In addition to the combat tasks, MiG-29KUB ensures learning and training of the aircraft personnel in flights and combat MiG-29K usage.

MiG-29K and MiG-29KUB aircraft are capable to efficiently perform tasks related to patrolling, air-borne target interception and hitting, attacking the surface (ground) targets, ground and air-borne assault support, battlefield air interdiction and air reconnaissance.

Equipment

MiG-29K/KUB is equipped with the up-to-date navigation target acquisition system, four-time redundant digital aircraft control system, radar and optical systems, helmet targeting and indication system, communication and defense aids, cockpit displays and controls and other aids ensuring high flight safety, efficient armament usage and performance of navigation and training tasks.
