Mi-26T2Heavy Carrier Helicopter

MAJOR ADVANTAGES

  • high precision of site approaching due to the satellite navigation system;
  • capability of simultaneous ground fueling (the tanker version) both the helicopter (aircraft) and armored (motor) vehicles.
 

 

PURPOSE AND MAIN TASKS

Mi-26T2 heavy carrier helicopter is designed for transportation of self-propelled (wheeled and tracked) and non-self-propelled vehicles, large-size cargoes both in the cargo compartment and at the external station, for transportation of the personnel and evacuation of sick and injured persons.
 
The helicopter may be used in different versions: transportation, assault, tanker, fire-fighting, ambulance.
 
Mi-26T2 helicopter is Mi-26T helicopter modification due to the later avionics.
 

 

AIR-BORNE EQUIPMENT

The helicopter airborne equipment ensures safe flight control both across the airways and off-airway controlled and uncontrolled air space at day and night time under adverse and favorable weather conditions.
 
The helicopter may accommodate:
  • tele-IR equipment,
  • light detection and ranging,
  • night-vision goggles,
  • satellite navigator receiver.
