The missile has the normal aerodynamic design with the grid controls and electric drive.

RVV-AE is equipped with the active radar seeker and inertial radio-correction guidance system for flight path target acquisition (multiple target channel capability) and missile flight re-targeting.

The active radar seeker head allows for enhancement of the carrier aircraft independence and efficient implementation of the “fire-and-forget” system.

PURPOSE AND MAIN TASKS
RVV-AE aircraft air-to-air missile is designed for hitting the air-borne targets (fighters, attack aircraft, bombers, helicopters, military carrier aircraft, cruise missiles) day-and-night, in any directions under electronic countermeasures conditions against the earth and water surface background.
It is used for arming the MiG and Su aircraft.
