PURPOSE AND MAIN TASKS

ÒMi-35M air-lift and combat helicopter is designed for fire support of ground troop units (attacking the tanks, other armored and non-armored vehicles, enemy fighters), armed escorting the transit troop columns, transportation of paratroopers and evacuation of injured persons, transportation of cargoes inside the compartment and at the external station.

 

Mi-35M may be used in combat, air drop, air-lift and ambulance versions.
 
The combat version is designed for attacking the tanks and other armored and non-armored vehicles, enemy fighters at the battlefield and in tactical depth, to perform other combat tasks, both independently and in cooperation with other land-based troops.
 
The air drop helicopter version allows for delivery of eight paratroopers with personal armament.
 
The air-lift helicopter version allows for transportation of ammunition and other cargoes up to 1 500 kg inside the cargo compartment or 2 400 kg at the external station.
 
Ambulance helicopter version allows for transportation of up to 4 injured persons or sick persons (two sitting persons and two on the stretchers) accompanied by one medic.
